On the 6th of june 2016, Me anthony and tom explored a 70 year old Fort that was used to defend harwich from attacks from the Germans during 1939-1945. There is two ways to enter into this area. We decided to take the more hard but scenic route. After squeezing through a fence and a tight bush fit we ended up in some vast woodland area, where there was nothing but trees and silence. After walking straight for a minute we came to two different ways. In front was a house with roots and trees growing out of them or to the left was a bridge that lead you towards Two lookout towers. We checked out the house which had nothing inside but graffiti from kids. After checking the house we took a walk through the bridge which lead us towards Several other building, a Underground area (which had the living quarters and much more) and the two watch towers. We decided to not go into the underground area since it was very dark and we had no torches and that it was flooding. The buildings and stables had nothing in them just graffiti again... However climbing the towers lead us to the most beautiful view i had encountered of the year *COULD SEE FOR MILES OUT INTO THE SEA* graffiti covered all the walls but seeing all the fort and abanonded areas from the towers was truly breath taking! We saw two concrete left holes which we believe was fitted with Cannons at one point but had been taking out when it closed down.
